translating and localizing basic to moderately complex materials such as policy wordings/clauses, claims and legal correspondence, press releases and websites, client service and sales support documents, and financial reports;
researching documentation in databases and/or dictionaries, to help familiarize with subject matter;
utilizing and maintaining corporate glossaries, terminology databases, styles guides and translation memories where applicable;
providing local project coordination for localization projects;
resolving questions from translators throughout the project life cycle.
Applicant should possess the following:
a bachelor’s degree from a reputable and internationally recognized university is required;
at least two years’ experience in translating legal and marketing documents;
experience in project management or coordination;
fluency in English and Korean languages;
demonstrated proficiency in composition, grammar and syntax of English and Korean languages;
basic understanding of engineering and insurance concepts and terminology;
strong attention to detail;
proficiency with MS Office suite of tools;
proficiency with translation software (CAT tools), especially Trados Studio.
