In support of LNG Marketing & Trading (SLMT), manage KOGAS and other key customer relationship while SLMT is undertaking direct sales to new LNG buyers in Korea, to safeguard the Group’s legacy positions and develop opportunities for creating value.
Build rapport with new LNG buyers not only private players but also the five major Gencos. The newly emerging participants are in various stages of understanding/implementing LNG which require extensive f2f relationship building.
Timely update competitive market intelligence for SLMT to capture new opportunities and develop strong CVP to win new tenders.
Conduct Korean energy market analysis including LNG supply & demand and energy policy, supporting LNG marketing activities.
Provide gas market reports based on publicly available information to the group companies including joint ventures and supporting the company JVs’ visitation.
Support upcoming Price Review discussions with KOGAS for SLMT.
In support of overseas LNG projects under IGRES, require proactive communication with project partner (KOGAS) to identify key issues blocking progress or key decisions; maintain constructive relationships and share the insights with IG.
Accommodate senior visits from H.Q. on projects by providing the latest customer positions along with the overall market situation including government policies/regulatory changes. Secure timely and level-appropriate senior meetings with key customers (e.g: international gas conferences).
Closely monitor the restructuring of gas and power industry in Korea and identify, develop and secure opportunities in the gas and power market for the company Energy and Renewables & Energy Solutions and explore potential linkages with other business lines.
Build and enhance capabilities (e.g: understanding energy policies, business analytics, supply/demand, gas inventory, etc) to better respond to various enquires from various the company’s internal stakeholders .
Lead gas team to provide quality support to JV marketing effort as per agreed Service Agreement, understanding CSI and customer sensitivities.
Graduate with minimum 5- 10 years’ experience in the LNG or energy related business including Power and Renewables
Excellence in Korean & English languages, both written and spoken
Well-developed interpersonal skills & business experience with a proven ability to build and maintain a good long-term business relationship with customers/relevant parties at all levels
Able to handle multiple tasks and businesses at the same time
Good understanding of Government policies towards gas & power markets
A good team leader within the Korean business culture - this job requires a level of maturity, experience and status in order to interact with local peers
Able to aggressively and positively push internal agendas and manage alignment quickly
Good inter-personnel skills and commercial mind-set
